I’m sure that most people think about chains, locks and alarms when they say anti-theft devices. I am one of them, so this left me wondering.
Even though it’s called Car/Bike Anti-Theft Device, this item isn’t a real device. It actually a set of stickers designed to look like rust spots and scratches, and the point is that a thief will think your shabby car or bike isn’t worth stealing.
Does it work? It might. The makers promise nothing, but I like this bit they added to the product description: “However, Dominc has stuck them to his shiny new red bike and can confirm that it hasn’t been stolen yet.” You can try them on your own risk (at least they’re cheap), but I wonder what happens when you want to drive your car without looking like a loser who won’t even bother giving it a new paint job.
How much under $29.99?
A lot: ~$8 on ThorstenVanElten.com.
