Electronic Drum Kit Shirt

Electronic Drum Kit ShirtCould this be the coolest t-shirt ever? As far as interactive clothing goes… if it’s not no. 1, it’s pretty damn close.

The Electronic Drum Kit Shirt features actual playable drums and an embedded speaker with volume control, not just a pretty picture. Even better: since there’s 7 drums in the design, each of them make its own sound, so with a bit of talent anyone can carry a tune right on their chest.

It requires 4 AAA batteries to work and extra care at laundry time… but oh, that little hassle is so worth it.

Handwoven iPhone 3G case

nameiPhone 3G was launched and we saw a slew of new cases aimed at the most eye-candy cell ever. However, most of them have focused on the functional, not on the fashion side.

But no more! If your inner fashionista had been craving a different kind of case, I’m here with a suggestion: the Handwoven iPhone 3G case. The distinctive look is coupled with high-quality hydrocarbon polymer technology to make a case which should appeal to many. You can even try to match it with your clothes, since it comes in 4 colors: white, black, blue and purple.

Aigo USB drive

Aigo USB driveThere’s no bad timing for getting a new flash drive, right? Especially if it looks interesting and has a decent storage capacity. And, in this case, if you live in Japan.

The Aigo USB drive comes in stylish Apple-like white, in 2 and 4 GB capacities. It can be attached to a lanyard or keychain, but what really sets it apart is its alternate use as paperclip. With the cap on, the drive can do the old trick of keeping papers stuck together… though why you couldn’t just get a paperclip is a bit beyond me.

Interesting idea nonetheless, and handy for when you need to keep the flash drive safe, not lost in the mountain of files on the desk.

Your mom is a nice lady t-shirt

Your mom is a nice lady t-shirtOur mothers kept telling us how we shouldn’t be rude to people. Don’t swear. Don’t respond to insults. Try to work things out. And what do they get? Frequent mentions during said arguments, which we don’t avoid despite their warnings…

But you can choose not to stoop that low. After all, what does someone’s mother have to do with their character? Indeed they are an influence, but not always; we all had that rude friend with the nicest parents ever.

The Your mom is a nice lady t-shirt is sneaky and misleading, which makes it awesome. You’re bound to offend someone, then you can enjoy their embarassment as they notice the small text. How could you believe I’d wear a “Yo momma” t-shirt?

Super Tiny Keyboard

Super Tiny KeyboardWhen someone is on the go, they usually want to carry as little stuff as possible, but still be comfortable in all their activities. For business people, this means laptops and, recently, netbooks.

The Super Tiny Keyboard aims for that market but fails. It’s not the size; yes, too small might make it difficult and painful to use, but it’s not much smaller than a netbook. But… why would you carry an USB keyboard with you?! It’s not like you have a teeny-tiny computer with a teeny-tiny screen you can shove in your duffel bag. You either carry a portable computer with you or you travel without one. It’s not like the keyboard would be the biggest problem if you want to travel with your desktop…

Utterly pointless. It could have been a good idea if it worked with cell phones but… it doesn’t.

Noobs Are People Too t-shirt

Noobs Are People Too t-shirtAh, noobs… They’re everywhere, but most of them seem to make their presence felt on the internet. Some of the older inhabitants on the virtual world feel that lack of knowledge is not an excuse for impolite and incoherent typing, so they sometimes tend to abuse said noobs.

If you feel that the poor darlings are wronged, wear the Noobs Are People Too t-shirt. But before you go on your quest to defend noobs, remember: some of them deserve it. Yes, all forums and games have their know-it-alls who act like everyone else is a retard, but most often than not the “poor victims” are just too lazy to do a Google search and expect everything to be explained to them, then get pissed off when they are suggested to do some actual thinking.

Noobs are people too. And many people are annoying stupid gits.

iPod Hymn Book Cover

iPod Hymn Book CoverI think religion is one of the last things people would associate with an iPod… unless they use it to listen to sermons. But since some fanboys seem to worship Apple, perhaps an accessory like the iPod Hymn Book Cover has an audience.

Unlike most cases, it needs to be opened to operate the player, which makes it uncomfortable to use. And the “hymn book” association is probably too much even for the most devout fan… but it could come in very handy for bored teens who are forced to go to church. “No, mum, it’s just the hymn book!”

The next step: figuring out how to hide the headphones. Maybe make them look like a rosary?

High Heels Phone

High Heels PhoneI keep telling myself I won’t pay attention to crapgadgets, but some are… just… too bad to pass up.

How could I resist a pink phone shaped like a shoe? Naturally, it’s called the High Heels Phone and it’s aimed at girls. 10 year old girls, I hope. I pity the woman whose boyfriend shows up with this atrocity and claims it’s a gift. There’s no way anyone can get away with it: he’s either seriously lacking in the taste department (which is not a problem in itself, but itrequires extra attention not to screw up), or he’s a misogynistic bastard who thinks women fall over if a pink object is presented to them. No thank you, I’d rather have someone with half a brain.

I usually find at least some redeeming quality even for the most horrible garbage… but this time it’s impossible. Oh, and did I mention the price? Scroll down and wonder how much neurons you need to spend that sum on this trainwreck of a product.

Tap Radio

Tap RadioWhat’s the deal with singing in the shower? I never got the hang of it, but since so many people love it I suppose that’s why shower radios are such a hit.

This one, the Tap Radio, comes in a cunning disguise that should make it look like it belongs in the bathroom. Only “should” though, because a second tap sticking out of a tile under your shower would still look pretty dodgy. The good thing is that it uses suction cups; no permanent damage and you can remove it whenever you want. It’s waterproof (of course), has a scan function and the tap handle acts as a volume button, making it easier to operate while scrubbing yourself.

So if you’re one of those people who spend at least an hour for each shower… I bet you get bored, so a little music is in order.

R/C Star Wars R2-D2

R/C Star Wars R2-D2True (read: obsessed) Star Wars know no limits when it comes to their passion. Who needs food when you can have Luke?!

If you’re bored with simple action figures, you can expand in the realm of remote controlled toys. The R/C Star Wars R2-D2 comes straight from Japan and can offer you about 5 minutes of excitement while you watch the adorable robot move across the desk. The remote is a light saber (extra cool points for that) and R2 makes the characteristic sounds, can turn its head and even has a LED eye. It can move forward or back and turns in circles in the way we all know and love.

…And that’s about as much enthusiasm I can muster about it. I’ve seen enough Star Wars gadgets to last me a lifetime and an R2-D2 to move around me is the last thing I need. But seeing how many fans there are… a couple are bound to go nuts about this.
