Eiko Egg Boilers
Kitchen gadgets in general fascinate me; although I don’t own too many, I like reading about them and deciding which one would make my life better.
I’m torn about the Eiko Egg Boilers. They’re so cute and colorful and look so cool! But… are they really useful? What they do: they’re small cups made from heat-resistent plastic, that can be hung inside the pot; once the eggs are done, you can seat them on the table and use them as egg cups.
The first thing I don’t get is why can’t the eggs just go in the pot. It’s not like they’ll explode. Second, the point seems to be that it can save you some dishwashing, but using a pot + egg boiler or a pot + egg cup (keeping in mind my first objection) yields the same number of dishes, right?
The thing I do like about this is the color-coding. The sets includes different colored boilers, which make it easier to distribute the food if one of the kids wants soft-boiled eggs and the other wants them hard-boiled.
How much under $29.99?
Some: $19.00 for a set of 4 on VesselInc.com.
