Flipbac
One of the things I wanted when I chose my camera was a swivel screen. Because it’s priceless when shooting over a crowd… and, let’s admit, because sometimes you might want to take a photo without being seen.
However, the numbers of camera with flip-out screens isn’t that big, and if you’re upgrading to a DSLR you’re not going to complain about such an unimportant detail. But it would be nifty to have, wouldn’t it? Well, if you’ve got a 3″ LCD screen, the Flipbac can be a simple solution to this problem, and unlike regular flip-out screens it works both in landscape and portrait modes.
Though it’s basically just a mirror with a frame, it’s difficult to explain how it works in a few words, but the video below demonstrates it perfectly.
Perhaps you won’t be thrilled by a foreign object stuck to your camera, but it will also protect the LCD while not in use. A 2.5″ version is planned too, but the date of launch is uncertain.
How much under $29.99?
Some: $19.99 on Flipbac.com.
