Is there anyone who didn’t hear the “back in my day” speech? Age doesn’t matter. There’s always a tough past compared to which someone’s life is paradise. It might be “back in my day we had to work in the field all day to get food” or “back in my day we didn’t have this internet thing”, but there is no way to escape it. Not even if you’re an anthropomorphized mp3 player.
The Grandpa Cassette t-shirt features the same scene, only the poor bored victim is an iPod. Yes, back in cassettes’ day you could only carry 20-odd songs with you, and there was no way to quickly jump to the next track, and unless you had a smart walkman you had to manually turn the tape…
But we’re not back in the day. Grandpa Cassette won’t get it, though. Nostalgia is too strong.
