Ironic Snow Globe
Snow globes are so peaceful… snow “floating” around in an idyllic scenery… and a plastic bag?!
In the case of this Ironic Snow Globe, yes. At first sight it looks like the perfect tourist souvenir: “I (heart) New York” and gently falling snow… until you notice the gently falling brown bag also included. True to life, eh?
Some New Yorkers are going to get pissed off about this, but I think most of them will see the truth. And it’s not only about New York, anyway: many big city inhabitants will recognize the scene. And maybe a few people will do more than smile or get mad; maybe they will try to change something so that in a couple of years images like this become incomprehensible. (I like dreaming, yes.)
