There’s nothing stopping flash drive designers from coming up with new shapes for these omnipresent computer accessories and, while some fall squarely in the crapgadget category, others are innovative.
The LaCie CurrenKey USB Flash Drive looks special, even though it’s a regular 4GB drive underneath. Shaped like a coin and with a bronze finish, it resembles an American penny or a 5 eurocents coin, only fatter and bigger.
You have to pay a premium for the design, of course, but $20 for 4GB and a great look isn’t a lot.
