Oxo Wine Stopper & Pourer

I don’t like wine (except for the very sweet kind which everyone else seems to hate). Since I don’t care about wine, I don’t know if the Oxo Wine Stopper & Pourer is something useful or not.
It’s shiny, so the magpie part of me wants one. As for the rest, connoisseurs will need to decide.
It’s got two major functions: to act as a cork and to help pour the wine without spills, both very good idea when you’re dealing with a liquid. I am slightly confused why you need an extra accessory when the neck of the bottle has the same shape, but maybe I’m missing something. And, anyway, it looks like that shape helps with one thing wine lovers will appreciate: aerate the wine while pouring.
