The Periodic Table of Texting t-shirt is at the same time funny and scary.
Funny, because something serious like chemistry next to a time-wasting activity like texting is an amusing contrast.
Scary, because there are actually people who can read message written entirely of those abbreviations.
No one’s saying all abbreviations are bad; after all, there’s a character limit. But when the number of “NE1″ and “NISM” and “BFF” is bigger than the number of full words… seriously, there’s a problem there.
That aside, the t-shirt is very cute indeed, and hey, if you’re getting the joke it means you know what the Periodic Table is, which is a good sign.
