We could say nerds are defined by their pocket protectors. The nerd with an ink stain on his pocket is an image that’s already entered pop culture.
Is there anything anyone do to make the pocket protector cool? Well, maybe. Being a geek or a nerd does not automatically mean you’re a loser nowadays. Maybe the skinny kid in the back of the class is the next Bill Gates!
