So here’s another thing you don’t need, but you will want. After all, it can save you all of 30 seconds, it will be priceless! This Silicone Sink Strainer is your regular run-of-the-mill strainer with one added feature: it can be turned upside down. It’s flexible, so it can be pulled and pushed back for easy cleaning. Once it gets filled with disgusting pieces of food, all you need to do is pull on it, throw the stuff away, rinse and push it back.

Actually, what I like best about it isn’t the flexibility - it’s the size. It looks much bigger than any strainer I’ve seen before, so it can hold more food, which means an easier time while washing lots of dishes. (Yes, I know that if it gets clogged up the water won’t drain anymore, but sometimes you just want to get all the bits of food on the sink bottom.)
