Marketers still seem to think that if they make something in pink, women will flock around it. But unfortunately… they might be right. It looks very easy to sell unnecessary things to women.

The Shadow Shields are… let’s say “not something you’re likely to die without”. They’re half-moon adhesives meant to protect your face from make-up that could end up under your eyes and leave unpleasant marks… but is that so much of a problem? We could, you know, pay attention to what we’re doing. Or use a bit of make-up remover in case of an accident.

Indeed, they could be useful in the world of professional make-up artists who aim to create complex works of art; but in the average woman’s make-up kit? Please, you’re just going to work, not to a fashion show. Not that I should tell you how to spend your money… but I’ve got better things planned for it.

Although that’s the best part, Halloween doesn’t neccesarily need to be a scary holiday for everyone. And while it’s not traditionally an occasion to give gifts, your better half would probably appreciate a little something, especially if it’s their favorite holiday.

Anyone who’s ever said “how can you improve on that” has most likely been proven wrong by now. Anything can be improved - or at least changed in a way that’s considered better by some.

Lipstick is a pretty basic thing, but it now comes in various shapes and sizes, ready to use anytime. Literally. Even if it’s the middle of the night and there’s a power outage, there’s still a way to quickly apply some gloss without resorting to candles or flashlights.

How come? It’s called the Lip Lights Ultra Shine Lip Gloss and it’s the first lip gloss with LEDs. When you remove the cap, the concealed LEDs automatically turn on and point straight at your lips for a perfect finish. The side of the cap is mirrored so you could technically use it, but a larger one would be better.

Do women really like to carry all those beauty/care products around with them wherever they go? Really? I’ve had friends come over from half the country away with a bag full of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, two types of facial cream, make up remover and pads… Come on, you’re going away from home for 3 days, you don’t have to pack for the end of the world.

Beauty products tend to be non-gadgety, which is why you haven’t seen many here. But today I ran into something a bit different from the stuff you can get in most stores.

Someone added extra functionality to a very old product. If you care about your looks you probably pluck your eyebrows periodically, but sometimes the conditions aren’t too friendly. Hostel bathrooms with bad lighting, power failures… a girl’s gotta face them all! Even normal bathrooms don’t have great light which is very inconvenient if you want to get those hard-to-see hairs.

That’s when the LED Tweezers come in. A LED was added to a normal tweezers, so, with the help of the on/off button, you can shine the light exactly at the desired spot and pluck away. The set is the size of a lipstick and it also includes a (tiny and probably difficult to use) mirror.
