I’m taking care of a friend’s cat, so I am one again debating if I should get one too. The problem is that I like to travel and I don’t have anyone to leave a cat with… All these automated pet feeders give me hope, though.
This Automatic Pet Water Bowl uses the laws of physics to refill. You can attach a garden hose or a water bottle and gravity will keep the bowl full, while float value ensures auto shut off against overflowing. This way, you can leave for a limited period of time and be sure your pet will have all the water it needs, especially during summer.

I doubt people really have problems with their spoons falling into the bowl. And if they do, the solution is simple: buy a smaller bowl.
That being said… I admit that The Bowl That Ran Away With The Spoon still looks appealing to me. I like the idea of being able to put your spoon on the rim of the bowl, but this particular bowl is just 3″ x 5″, which I would say is small enough to eliminate the possibily of accidents.
Now, if they made this in a larger size… I always find my fork inside the salad.
(On the plus side, at least the name is cool.)

From my experience with cats, they have clear opinions about what life should be like: get petted (when you choose, not that pesky owner), get fed, get enough sleep. And most cats do not need to be coaxed into eating.
So… What’s the point of the Chatter Bowl Talking Pet Feeder? Actually, it might not be completely useless. How it works: you record a 10 second message and, the next time the cat (or dog) gets close to the bowl, it is played back.
In most cases, it would be pointless. I doubt a cat has trouble eating just because the bowl doesn’t talk to it. However, it might be useful for animals suffering from separation anxiety. If your pet doesn’t just gobble everything up the moment you feed it, you could leave more food in the bowl, so it can hear your voice all day, while you’re at work.
I still say it’s too expensive, but then again I’ve never had this type of pet trouble, so who knows?
