But if you’re not concerned about brand or appearance and you just want something cheap to prevent your phone from meeting the floor, you can save yourself the effort and just get the Big Hug Adhesive Cell Phone Holder.

It’s sort of funny and not very ugly, though the color doesn’t do it any favors. The hands are made from soft rubber so your phone will be safe from scratches, but it will only hold phones up to about 4 cm x 10 cm x 2 cm, which means no PDAs and no iPhones. It comes with a double sided adhesive tape on the back which allows for easy monunting on any flat surface.

I don’t like to get an electric shock when I touch the car, but I never imagined there was a device to get rid of the problem. Would anyone manufacture something so useless?

As usual, the answer is “yes”, so I suppose someone out there needs it… or can be convinced they do. The process is extremely simple: get Static Discharger, touch handle, open door. The smiley face on the display will show you when it’s safe to touch it.

I never realized static is such a big problem, but, considering it’s out of stock for now, lots of people hate that minor shock. Can’t fathom why, but oh well, it’s your money, not mine.

I really like miniatures, so these R/C Mini Cars interest me from that point of view. They are small and they look ok, without being extraordinary.

The storage method is unique, I’d say: each comes inside a ball, which also also the controller (four sports to choose from: basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis). The balls are equipped with lanyards, so it’s pretty obvious this is aimed at kids – I hope no adult would actually wear a basketball round their neck. So, as far as toys go, this is a pretty funky one. The little ones can collect all four and then race them with friends.

You’re happily driving somewhere. Maybe you know the way, maybe you don’t. Either way, you’re trying. Can anything be more annoying than someone starting to give you useless indications about what you should do?

Since I don’t drive, I never really thought about what other drivers see when you pull over. Until the latest trip on the highway, that is; idiots seem to have multiplied during the last few months and they assume that a car that’s pulled over, with no lights, is somehow easy to notice. After a few conversations about accidents, I am now convinced of the importance of being seen from far, far away. Sometimes a gesture says more than a thousand words. Especially when you’re driving and that gesture doesn’t employ all the fingers available. But… that’s so low tech… and the driver behind you might not get the full view to appreciate it. Beside, there’s no gesture for saying you’re happy.
