Say you have a nice idea for a phone charm. Not particularly original, but good enough to guarantee decent sales. Then, what do you do to increase the chances that bimbos with less taste than their dogs will buy it? Why of course, add Swarovski crystals.
The Swarovski Chip Doughnut Cell Phone Strap would be a funny and cute charm (oh look, a tasty doughnut on your phone, now I’m hungry, ha ha)… and it got turned into an ugly blingy… something.
The one good thing: it’s cheap. One of the bad things: the shipping probably isn’t worth it.

Carrying a phone or mp3 player in your hand is sometimes a real pain and, while cases can make a device easier to attach to your belt or a bag, they might make it more difficult to operate.
The Cliphanger offers a simple solution. This thin piece of plastic sticks to your gadget with industrial adhesive and makes it easy to clip where it’s convenient.
I have to admit I’ve never felt the need to attach my phone to my purse, for example, but i always keep it on a lanyard, which makes it very easy to find; this could be an alternative for people who can’t stand lanywards. But what does bug me is how (if?) you can get it off your phone. “Industrial adhesive” doesn’t sound like something that comes off easily, so I’d be reluctant to use this unless I was very sure I wouldn’t get bored with it in a few months.

I doubt there are many chocolate-loving iPhone owners who would like to make their shiny phone look like a big chocolate bar, but, just in case…
The Homade ChocoCase is an ordinary silicone case, except it’s brown and the back is shaped like a chocolate bar. I don’t know how accurate the pictures are, but if it’s like this for real… it doesn’t look like very tasty chocolate. Otherwise, the idea is not half-bad: people will definitely notice you if you’re talking into a chocolate bar. It might not be positive attention, but that’s the risk you’re subjecting yourself to if you buy it.

What every spy needs is an… um, voice changing device? If you say so.
The Cell Phone Voice Changer is a hands-free which can make your voice sound like a duck, child, old man or a robot… for some unknown spy purpose. (A duck?!) In better news, it also works as a normal headset, so when you’re done playing James Bond you can call your mummy and tell her you’ll be a little late for dinner.
Bonus: lovely Engrish in the product description and commas gone astray. (Really, why are there so many people who can’t use the comma?!)

Last night I looked for a charger, because my phone was dying… no luck. I know it’s somewhere around here, but given the state of my desk, that’s very vague. It looks like fate wanted me to see the Mini Charging Valet and realize there was a simpler solution.
Cables are taking over our houses and I, for one, am sick of it, so anything that can eliminate some of them is brilliant. This particular charging station is not for gadget-freaks, as it only has space for two devices, but can prove the perfect thing for someone who only has a mobile phone and a camera, for example. Beside getting rid of the clutter, it also helps you find your gadgets easier, as they will be in one spot, not “somewhere under that pile of papers”.
The choice of colors, however… rather unfortunate. Pink, green and white are a bit too cheesy for me. You can get the same model in a wood pattern, but it’s $29.

I don’t like retro fashion, but I don’t hate it either. Some of the things look good, they’re just not my type. But when did people get the impression that calling something “retro” or “classic” automatically makes it classy?
Take the Classical Hands Free, dubbed “classical and stylish retro.” What I see is a vaguely amusing hands free that looks like an old-fashioned phone (in pink!) and defies its purpose. Hands free implies… not holding a large handset?
If it was supposed to be a joke, yeah, it could maybe work. But they seem serious… Really, who misses their old phone enough to even consider buying one of these?

If you’re one of the iPhone owners who have problems hitting all the right keys when trying to write a message or you just hate to put your dirty hands all over that beautiful screen, maybe you should consider your options.
One of them is the Soft-Touch Stylus, which can improve your iPhone typing skills, especially if your have large fingers. Or long nails, those must get in the way.
Just one problem: you might lose it. It comes with a built-in shirt clip, but what if you don’t have a shirt? I can’t remember the last time I wore something with a breast pocket. Its destiny is to end up lost among a billion other things in your bag, you know it.

Most geeks will probably look down on me, but I don’t take care of my gadgets. My laptop is all scratched, my old phone fell down more time than I can count, my e-book reader’s got a big scratch across the screen and I don’t even know how it got there. But the one thing I can’t stand is having a dirty phone screen. It’s disgusting. Everytime I end a call, I wipe it on my jeans before putting it back in my pocket. It used to have its special wipe, but I lost it two days after I got it – it just fell out of my pocket.
The Micro Swipes seem like a dream come true. They’re tiny puffy micro fiber wipes that can easily be carried in your bag or pocket, but, best of all, they can be attached to your phone/other gadget so you’ll never lose them again. Easy as pie.

The trickle of iPhone accessories is neverending. Today, the ClearBoost.
What it does, as the name suggests, is boost your signal. The ClearBoost is basically a case with a built-in booster antenna which sends the signal to the internal antenna, aimed to ensure a stronger signal especially in border areas.
Does anyone need it? I’ve personally never felt the need to boost my cell phone’s signal, but then again I don’t have an iPhone so I don’t know if they have signal issues. The major problem I see is the look: the iPhone is so eye-candy, putting an ugly case on it almost feels like blasphemy.

“Hmm, my mobile phone is almost dead. Eh, I have to go now, no time to reacharge it, and anyway I’ll only be gone for two hours, it will surely last that long.” More often than not, this train of thought is followed by getting detoured by a friend and ending up with a dead phone at 3 a.m. in a club, unable to call a taxi.
I didn’t trust the previous emergency charger I wrote about – 3 hours from one battery seemed exagerrated, but it looks like it wasn’t. The iGo powerXtender, reviewed on OhGizmo!, can give a gadget 6 to 8 hours worth of juice using two AA batteries.
In order to use it, you need to get a tip for your specific device ($10 each), then just plug it in and wait. Unfortunately, Evan at OhGizmo! reports that it tends to randomly power itself off during charging, so if you’re aiming to fully charge your phone, iPod or console you have to keep an eye on it for shut downs. Other than this, it’s a priceless little device for anyone who’s ever left home and discovered his/her can’t-live-without gadget is dead.
