The Virtually Indestructible Silicone Keyboard

I believe we’ve all taken out some heat in our days on our computer or at least keyboard. It can be incredibly frustrating to lose a race in Need for Speed, or a match in Football Manager or get whooped in WOW. So you feel like destroying some stuff and since it’s not healthy to take it out on friends or family, it’s advisable to let out your nerves on inanimate objects.

But since it’s not very economical to replace the keyboard every now and then (depending on your moodiness), I’d advise you to get yourself one of these here Virtually Indestructible Silicone Keyboards. It’s a silicon-based flexible computer keyboard and you can roll it and torture it as you please.

Circuit Boards are Cool: 9 Presents for the Tech Lovers in your Life

Is there anything that says “geek” more than a circuit board? After all, without them none of the gadgets they love so much would exist. If you’re in need of a stocking stuffer this Christmas, why not go for some circuits?

At the office

Unless s/he’s a geek who made it big, work is unavoidable. But the office can become a more fun place with a few well-chosen accessories.

Motherboard t-shirt

1. First, they need to wear something. For casual Fridays or for 9 A.M. Mondays, the Motherboard t-shirt will reveal their true nature to the co-workers… and who would want to mess with someone with circuit board innards?

Recycled Circuitboard Cufflinks

2. If he’s one of the unfortunate souls that go to work in a suit and tie, there’s still a way to let their personality shine through… without ruining the company image. The Recycled Circuit Board Cufflinks are subtle enough not to be noticed when not neccessary but are always there to remind him there’s a world of gadgets waiting after this boring meeting.

Circuitboard Business Card Case

3. Going to a technology fair? Meeting a potential business partner in the technology industry? A Circuit Board Business Card Case will project the image of a laid-back gadget-lover in a most natural way.

Circuitboard Mouse Mat

4. Meetings and clients or not, there’s no way a tech fanatic can survive without his/her computer, and what’s the thing everyone looks at (except the monitor)? Yes, that little piece of plastic we use for our mice. The Circuitboard Mouse Mat will decorate the desk with a bit of green and silver… and save a bit of the planet in the process, since it’s made from recycled materials.

Motherboard Christmas Tree

5. All of the above are fine and dandy for all year long… but the holidays need some special geek Christmas spirit. If they love technology and don’t like chopping down trees, the Motherboard Christmas Tree is the perfect answer.

LED Motherboard Menorah

6. What if you’re looking for a present suited for a Jewish friend? A full-size menorah wouldn’t be appropriate at work, but the LED Motherboard Menorah would fit just right on the desk.

At home

Although they spend at lot of time working or in front of a computer, it doesn’t mean their whole life revolves around that.

Circuit Board necklace

7. Geek-chic is very much in, and a techie girl with a taste for quirky fashion will appreciate the novelty of the Circuit Board Necklace.

Circuit Board Coasters

8. The best way to teach a husband or boyfriend to stop leaving their wet and sticky glasses all over your furniture? Get them something they won’t forget about. The Circuit Board Coasters will activate their technology radar and they just might remember to pick them up.

Motherboard Christmas Ornaments

9. It might not be traditional, but a couple of unusual ornaments can give a new look to a tree. The Motherboard Christmas Ornaments come in three shapes for an extra-geeky holiday season.

So, what are you waiting for? Christmas is getting closer and closer, do you have presents for everyone on the list? Thought so.

LED Magnetized Telescopic Rescue Stick

LED Magnetized Telescopic Rescue StickI don’t think there’s anyone who hasn’t lost a screw while tinkering with their PC. Light sources are not always readily available (you have the ceiling lamp, but I doubt it gives out enough light to look for a tiny screw). And if the cables in your PC are a mess…. you’re (forgive the pun) screwed.

I bought a magnetic screwdriver for this purpose and it does make my life easier, but I still need to drag my lamp off the desk when I look for the elusive screw. I can deal with that, because I only work on my PC when desperately necessary (i.e. motherboard gets fried or similar), but I’m sure people who work in IT would appreciate this nifty little tool.

LED Magnetized Telescopic Rescue StickThe name says it all: LED Magnetized Telescopic Rescue Stick. It has a LED that turns on when the stick is extended, and the tip is magnetized. It’s the size of a pen but can extend to 2 feet. And the magnet is so strong it can even lift a screwdriver (although I wouldn’t suggest dropping a screwdriver on your motherboard…).

Best of all, it’s cheap. Useful and cheap, what more could you want? You might even see yourself buying more as presents for your hardware-crazy friends.

404 Not Found (HTTP IIS) t-shirt

404 Not Found (HTTP IIS) t-shirtWe love our PCs, right? They’re our connection to the world (and, for some, to that scary place called “outside”). Nothing could destroy this relationship… Or could something? Maybe when it crashes before you save your work? Or when the website you’ve been googling for an hour turns out to be dead?

If you can’t beat them, join them. Show the world you’ve run into the errors but you’ve got the better of them. The 404 Not Found (HTTP IIS) t-shirt features those three numbers we all hate: 404. Everyone who hasn’t been living under a rock has seen them at least once. But we’re not going to be taken down by something like this! The internet is a pretty big place and no website is irreplaceable.
