What can you get if you combine games and candy?
First, very fat kids. Second, a candy dispenser shaped like a console… perfect for fat kids. It’s called Wii Klick Candy, it’s shaped like the popular Nintendo console remote and it even comes with included bubble gum and candies. Can it get any better?
Well, yes. It’s one of those fun boxes with a trigger (hence the slightly silly name) and it’s cheap. You can get one for $3.22 or a set of 12 for $22.95 (for all the fat kids down the block).

Wii games rock, but don’t you ever feel silly moving that remote around like it’s an actual sports object? I’ve watched people do it and, honestly… it looks kind of stupid. Besides, the game would feel more “real” with better accessories.
Naturally, someone thought of a solution. Aimed at one particular game, the Wii Boxing Gloves are specially designed with pouches on the back for the controllers. Once the Wiimote and Nunchuck are safely fixed into place and the gloves adjusted with the velcro straps, wannabe boxers can enjoy a more realistic game.
Be careful, however: if the game you want to play involves pushing buttons, don’t get these; since the controllers are on the back of the glove, you won’t be able to touch them.

PS3s are cool toys, but, like all consoles, they look boring. Naturally, you can choose from a variety a skins to personalize it… but somehow I think a demonic figure is better.
The Screaming Skull Protective Mask Cover is not a skin, because it slips over the top of the console instead of sticking to it. Because it’s 3D, it accomplished two important things: it protects the PS3 from scratches and looks incredibly cool.
I hope there’s no horror games for the PS3, though. Seeing a demon apparently trying to get out while playing a scary game isn’t the most pleasant experience, I assume.

A camera tripod can help with steady shots, but can’t hold an iPhone. An iPhone stand is useful for watching videos, but other gadgets won’t fit in it. There’s separate products that do one job very well, but the Gorillapod Go-Go aims to offer a solution for all gadgets.
It has 3 ways to attach to gadgets: an universal adapter screw for cameras, a suction cup for everything else (the suction cup has a switch that creates near-vacuum on any flat surface to keep the gadgets in place) and adhesive clips for more permanent attachment (meaning you glue it on and it stays there for a long time). Then there’s the legs: very flexible, can be bent in virtually any position and they stay there, can be twisted around objects, coated in rubber for better grip. This opens a lot of posibilities, be it positioning the camera perfectly for that tricky shot or giving the iPhone the right angle for viewing a video.
However, you need to be careful what you use it for, since larger objects might make it fall over (or might make finding the right position more difficult).

Geek is trendy nowadays, so your thourough knowledge of all controllers ever produced just might mark you as cool, not as a nerd or loser.
If you’re willing to try this out, it’s time to accesorize. First stop, the Nintendo Controller Foil Wallet. It looks just like the real thing, appears to be high quality and is roomy enough to hold your money and cards and assorted something-or-others.
It won’t fit your cartridges, however. But really, trying to shove your money into a real controller would make you a freak, so just settle for the next best thing.

The Wii wasn’t made to be used with a keyboard, but sometimes one would come in pretty useful… So someone thought about it real hard and made one.
And the Wii Keyboard
doesn’t look half bad. It might be more difficult to use than a regular keyboard, so you won’t be writing papers or novels on it, but for gaming use it looks great.
It’s not available yet, but you can preorder it for the July 18th launch.

Quick test:
1. Do you have a Nintendo DS?
2. Are you a Star Wars fan?
If you answered “yes” to both, you might be the perfect customer for a Star Wars Light Up Lightsaber Stylus. Each pack has two lightsaber replicas (Luke’s and Darth Vader’s, with the corresponding hilts) that light up from LEDs to resemble the movie versions.
I don’t find these particularly interesting, but then again I don’t understand the Star Wars fan mentality since I don’t like the movies. However, considering how much I can squee over, say, Discworld merchandise, I think it’s safe to say that these are wannabe-Jedis’ must-have items.

If you work in a traditional office - suit and tie and things like that - just skip to the next post. But if you work in the gaming industry, for example, a Nintendo NES Business Card Holder could be the thing for you.
There’s 7 models of replicas available: Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Ice Climber or Balloon Fight, and Controller 1 and 2. Unfortunately, you don’t get to choose which one you get, it’s all random.
But for the geekness factor it doesn’t really matter, does it? You’ll be pulling your business cards out of a game cartdridge.

If you’ve been reading this site (or at least frequently use the internet), you know you can find an extremely wide range of geeky clothing. But you don’t only need clothes, right? Plus sometimes a tshirt is too loud; you might be in a place where a t-shirt with robots on it is inappropriate, so, if you still want a symbol of your geek status, you must go with something less visible.
How about a wallet? A Nintendo Wallet for the game nostalgics, that is. You might be playing on your brand-new console, but your first controller is still in your thoughts… It might sound soppy, but I for one still remember my first computer and those days when it was such a novelty.
Unlike many other geeky items, this one’s damn useful and it looks very well, the Nintendo design matches the wallet perfectly. And you can get it for cheap.
