Anti Sleep Driving Alarm

Anti Sleep Driving AlarmFalling asleep at the wheel is one of the most dangerous things you can do while driving. We’ve all seen the news reports. It’s not pretty.

The Anti Sleep Driving Alarm is a great idea for anyone who has to drive for a long time or when tired. This device was developed especially for drivers and it works by letting off a piercing alarm if your head tilts forward more than 30 degrees. Of course, its use is not restricted to drivers: those night-long gaming sessions can be very tough, and at some point energizing drinks just don’t cut it anymore. Falling asleep during a raid can potentially be more dangerous than sleeping at the wheel - that is, if your guildies realize it and come kick your ass for causing a wipe.

Wii Racing Wheel

Wii Racing WheelIf you joined the ranks of Wii-owners you might have noticed that playing racing games with the console is quite uncomfortable.

The Wii Racing Wheel aims to fix that. This steering wheel extension is basically a frame for the Wii remote which makes it feel more like driving a real car. In case you feel it is too difficult to play while holding it in the air, the pack also includes a desktop base that can be attached to a table, floor, desk or other object with suction cups.

I have to admit I’ve never played with a Wii, so I’m not the best person to give advice about it, but the idea of using a rectangular box as a wheel does seem a bit weird, so the designers of the Racing Wheel have something going for them.

Hacking World of Warcraft

Hacking World of WarcraftWorld of Warcraft is not a simple game, but it’s not that complex either. If you want to learn about something, you will find an answer online, no question about it. But if you’re lazy, get the book.

Hacking World of Warcraft won’t teach you anything forbidden by the game rules; instead it will give you some of the basic (or more advanced) things you need to know to have a nice stay in Azeroth and the Outlands. From add-on suggestions and how to make a macro to creating your own add-ons, you can be sure there’s something you didn’t know before. And author Dan Gilbert should know what he’s talking about, since he’s the guy who wrote one of the most popular add-ons, Atlas.

But, while the book does look interesting, I really don’t see the point of paying almost $30 for it. All the information is available online, you only have to look for it. With the help of google, a couple of add-on websites and your guildies, there’s nothing you can’t find out.

Nintendo Wallet

Nintendo WalletIf you’ve been reading this site (or at least frequently use the internet), you know you can find an extremely wide range of geeky clothing. But you don’t only need clothes, right? Plus sometimes a tshirt is too loud; you might be in a place where a t-shirt with robots on it is inappropriate, so, if you still want a symbol of your geek status, you must go with something less visible.

How about a wallet? A Nintendo Wallet for the game nostalgics, that is. You might be playing on your brand-new console, but your first controller is still in your thoughts… It might sound soppy, but I for one still remember my first computer and those days when it was such a novelty.

Unlike many other geeky items, this one’s damn useful and it looks very well, the Nintendo design matches the wallet perfectly. And you can get it for cheap.

Evolution of Man t-shirt

Evolution of Man t-shirtHas evolution stopped or is man still evolving? If the latter is true, what are we evolving into?

This Evolution of Man t-shirt has the answer: game freaks. Forget monkeys! The next stage in evolution started when the first human inserted the first token in an arcade game. The world hasn’t been the same since…

The t-shirt version of that famous comic strip that’s been doing the rounds online is sweet. A must-have for any gamer who’s ever lost at least part of his life in front of a screen. (Says the girl running World of Warcraft on the other PC while writing this…)

World of Warcraft Elf/Orc Rings

nameWorld of Warcraft is a phenomenon. Either you love it or hate it, you can’t deny its popularity. Someone who isn’t a gamer can’t understand how some moving pixels can keep you glued to your screen for 12 hours but… trust me, they can.

The question now is: are you Horde or Alliance? You can prove your allegiance now. Choose between the two versions: World of Warcraft Elf Ring or World of Warcraft Orc Ring. They’re both made out of metal and they come in size 10 (diameter about 0.78″).
