Oven mitts are just oven mitts, but sometimes they can also look cool while keeping your hands away from the hot pots and pans.
There’s not much info available about the Clicking Kitchen Grip, but the idea of a pair of cursor-inspired oven gloves is fun and quirky. They’re not for sale yet, but apparently they’ll be available soon.
The listed price is just $1, which is probably just a temporary placehold, but we hope the final one won’t make anyone gasp.

Can you screw up something as basic as microwaving popcorn?
The answer is, of course, yes. Charred popcorn or unpopped kernels, it takes a pro to strike the perfect balance. Why? Because the instructions are vague to say the least, and since you can’t see what’s happening counting the time between pops is not very effective.
So the Micro Corn Popper is good for us kitchen disasters. Nothing special, but you get to see the corn and it makes it easy to figure out when it’s done, plus it has a container on top for melting butter.
All fine and dandy… until you see the price. No thank you, I’ll just buy a bowl and sieve and make one myself for half the price.

I hate to admit it, but… I need a set of DaysAgo Digital Day Counters.
It should be so simple. Open a can, remember when you did it, throw it away when it goes bad.
I got sick twice last month because of bad food. I’m just stupid like that.
The digital counter attaches to pots and jars with a suction cup and can count up to 99 hours or 99 days. (Hint: if it says 99 days, find a Ziploc bag, put the item inside and drop it in the deepest garbage can you can find.)
The uses are endless: cat litter (though you can smell-test that), fish tank water, plant watering… the list goes on and on.

Most fridges are well-designed and the space organization is flexible enough to allow all sorts of pots and pans to fit in. The only place I’ve ever had problems with is the door; all those bottles and cans just don’t seem to fit in there!
It’s a trivial problem though, so I was surprised to see there’s actually an object dedicated to optimizing storage in there. The Fridge Door Can Caddy makes stacking cans easier and less space-consuming, since it allows for 4 cans to go on top of each other. Not vital for everyone, but if you’re a hardcore soda drinker and find your fridge constantly taken over by Cokes or 7Ups…
Maybe $10 is a bit too much for something non-essential like this, but I sure missed one when we were sampling every type of beer we could find last week…

Boring people use plain old toothpicks. But a piece of wood isn’t good enough anymore if you want to be cool. And in case you were wondering if bacon’s popularity can grow any more…
Yes, you’ve guessed it: Bacon Flavored Toothpicks.
No, there’s no particular reason for it. They won’t clean your teeth better, make you smarter or more handsome; they’re just make you feel like you’re eating bacon… even though you’re not.
At least the cinnamon flavor ones might freshen your mouth. I have a sneaky feeling the bacon’s going to win though, silly or not.

What the world needed was a Safe Slice Bagel Slicer. Really.
Of course, cutting a bagel is a tedious, complicated and especially dangerous process. You need protection in the fight against bread products.
…Right.
A friend of mine said she had problems with cutting bagels, but she does it vertically, and this device wouldn’t help with that. Seriously, just hold the bagel down with one hand and slice it with the other.

Can a really manly man eat out of ordinary utensils? Uh, yes, of course. But if you want to eat in style (rugged style, that is), Wrenchware is here.
The set features a box-end wrench fork, open-end wrench spoon and pliers knife made from 18/10 polished “drop forged” stainless steel and it even comes with a heavy duty ABS plastic box (you know, in case you need to eat in rough conditions).
$24 for a meal sounds a bit steep, though. Won’t regular utensils work too?

You don’t need to have children to know that meal time can be a pain if the little one is a picky eater. There’s no way to reason with someone so young, so they’re got to be tricked.
Kids nowadays are lucky. My parents just cut up the sandwiches and told me they’re cars and planes… today you can get cars and planes. The Constructive Eating Utensil Set features the expected fork, knife and spoon, only they’re way more fun than the regular ones: they’re a fork lift, front loader and bulldozer.

Although they’ve been around for a while, we still love looking at our mugs changing color when we pour the coffee in. And we couldn’t miss the festive version now…
When it’s filled with the hot liquid of your choice, the Heat Sensitive Xmas Mug reveals a decorated Christmas tree ready to brighten up your morning and give you some extra holiday spirit.
And I don’t need to mention this is the perfect stocking stuffer too, right? Maybe the adults won’t be that impressed, but for a kid a mug that changes color is very close to magic.

How many times have you thrown away perfectly good peanut butter because the oil had separated?
Yeah, thought so.
It might not be a problem for one jar, but if it happens again and again… a Peanut Butter Mixer is in order. It screws onto any standard 12 oz. jar, so it’s easy to crank the mixing rod and take the yummy desert back to its original state.
Less waste, more PB and jello sandwiches… a winning situation all over.
