In a few short months, the new Star Trek movie will be in cinemas and Trekkies will flock to see the new Spock, Kirk and McCoy.
But in the meantime all fans need to keep busy with something, and the 20 Questions Star Trek Game is bound to provide entertainment as well as welcome reminders of the series.
The game comes with info about the Trek movies and TV shows and is a bit different from the classic game in the sense that it has two extra possible answers: “unknown” or “sometimes”. There’s also an “undo” button allowing you to change your mind, although I don’t really see the point of that.
And in the end, when you’re gone through all possible characters and planets, you’ll be left with a nice desk ornament too, which is more that can be said of most games.

How could a ball of fuzz become popular? If it was actually an alien and got featured on Star Trek.
A tribble is, for all intents and purposes, an alien animal with no visible external features which can only eat and reproduce. Unless you bring it close to a Klingon and hell breaks loose.
Since we (probably) don’t have any Klingons here on Earth, the Electronic Tribble is a perfectly cute and harmless toy. But just like in the episode The Trouble With Tribbles, this fluffy guy can coo soothingly.. or go mental like Worfs and his friends just entered the room. The good thing is that it only takes the flick of a switch to bring it back to its peaceful personality.
The question that begs to be asked: are you willing to pay almost $30 for it? Hmmm…

Yesterday was Star Trek’s birthday; on September 8, 1966 the world first saw the Enterprise boldly go where no one had gone before.
I don’t even like Star Trek, really. After years of reading SF it’s too simplistic and clichéd. But even I can’t deny it had a huge influence and that I probably wouldn’t be enjoying Battlestar Galactica right now if it weren’t for Captain Kirk and his crew (though I like Picard better).
42 years later, the consumerist society can celebrate by buying a t-shirt. You need the Star Trek ‘Know Your Spock’ t-shirt, really. How else would you tell which Spock is good and which is evil? Your life could depend on it. Go watch some old episodes wearing this, you know you want to.

I think I’ll lose a lot of geek points if I admit I don’t like Star Trek. I’m more of a BSG girl (give me realism, dudes! not “ooh, will Spock die or the ensign?”). However… there are a lot of fans out there who will definitely love this.

I fail to understand the attractiveness of Star Trek, but it’s undeniable that it was one of the first big SF series and that it has millions of fans worldwide. Geeks used to be notorious for their lack of success with girls, but things have changed.
However, if you miss those days when all the hot girls laughed at you, try this one out. A Star Trek tie. Ok, you might want to have McCoy, Spock and Kirk on your chest for some reason… but does the design have to be so ugly? Sorry, I’ve seen geeky ties, I like geeky ties, but only if they actually look good.
Heh, and I just gave the link to a friend and he loves it. It’s a matter of taste in the end. (But no guy wearing something like this will get near me.)
