Is it just me or do novelty products aimed at women tend to have the silliest names? “Catchy” does not always equal “good”.

Name aside, the Purseket is a very interesting invention. Women change bags very often and we all know that phrase: “I left it in the other purse”. Transferring everything from purse to purse is time consuming. And another thing: do purses ever have enough pockets? I swear manufacturers think we only ever carry 3 items with us.

The Pursekets solve both these problems. They have 5, 6 or 8 pockets, according to size, perfect for organizing the small things. Women have a knack of filling every inch of available space with something, so things can get tricky once in a while. At some point there will be no space left, and that’s when you need to start getting new ideas.

Bathroom cabinets are never large enough. I nearly doubled my cabinet space recently and it filled up in no time. But really… you have your 2 types of deodorants, toothbrush, 3 toothpastes, soap, face cream, make-up, maybe the boyfriend’s stuff… how can you fit everything in there?

I like having people over and I try to make them as comfortable as possible. I have a guest room (usually known as “the office”), but after seeing a friend hang her shirts on the side of the door I realized that room isn’t very convenient for someone who wants to spend a longer amount of time.

I promptly forgot the thought… until I saw the Hang ‘n Hide Folding Laundry Rack. It’s exactly what I was looking for. It mounts on the door or wall and, when extended, it offers space for about 17 hangers; when folded, you almost don’t know it’s there, which makes it perfect for a room that’s not frequently used.

This is by no means a new idea (I have a bread basket like this), but it’s smart enough to warrant a mention.

The Travel Tray is extremely simple to use and can be indispensable for the messy people among us. It’s probably more useful for travel, but I could use it perfectly well around the house - for example to store my 4 or 5 sets of keys (don’t ask), which I can never find.

I’m not big on jewelry, but even the 4 or 5 necklaces I have always end up in one big knot, no matter how tidy I try to put them in the box. It’s just… a box doesn’t work for delicate necklaces. They will get tangled up, and the most difficult to untangle will be the one you want to wear tonight.
