Swine t-shirt

Swine t-shirtHam. Bacon. Tenderloin. Sausages. Even Spam. They all have one thing in common, and it oinks. (Well, not while it’s in one of the above states, we hope.)

The Swine t-shirt is a tribute to the pig from all the carnivores in the world, and a hilarious take on the supermarket charts of which-bit-is-called-what.

It’s just so easy. Why use dozens of categories when everything can be divided so neatly? It can only be “good” or “real good”.

Don’t drool too much on the table, please. And don’t wear this t-shirt around vegetarians, who knows what could happen.

Hello Zombie t-shirt

Hello Zombie t-shirtHello Kitty should burn in hell. She might have been cute when she was born, but after seeing those beady eyes and red bow on every damn product in the universe, all I want to do is wipe her out of existence.

Turning her into an undead isn’t that effective, but it sounds like a good beginning for revenge. So: Hello Zombie t-shirt, oh yeah!

Brains instead of bow, blood, suffering! Pure win. And it’s funny too. Sign me up for two please.

(Ms. Kitty, I know you are the secret ruler of the world. It was just a joke. Really.)

I’m Tweeting This t-shirt

I'm Tweeting This t-shirtThinkGeek’s I’m Blogging This t-shirt is one of my favorites, and I’m so excited for it: now it has a baby!

From blogging to microblogging: introducing the I’m Tweeting This t-shirt! Fans of 140-characters posts needed a way to express their love and now they’ve got it – in those familiar blue and white characters, of course.

And the veiled threat is still there: behave or you’ll end up on my Twitter, where all the world can see…

Girlie version available as well, of course.

Intramural Zombie Hunter t-shirt

Intramural Zombie Hunter t-shirtThe zombie apocalypse is upon us. Will you be prepared?

Ok, it hasn’t happened yet, but some of us are a bit too eager for that scenario… Instead of trying to create a zombifying virus, just get a t-shirt to live your (fairly disturbing) dream.

Really, it’s as cool as it gets without featuring actual brain-eating dudes: the Intramural Zombie Hunter t-shirt even comes with customizable gore.

It’s a take on the typical college sweater spattered with blood, but you can choose between two types of back (your name + a number, athletic style, or the original slogan, “Kill as many zombies and vampires as you can”), a crest on the sleeve (with the same slogan) and – the best part – 4 levels of gore, from nonexistant to lots of.

Now, I wonder what happens if someone wears one on campus…

Space Invaders t-shirt

Space Invaders t-shirtYes, the world still loves Space Invaders, even though it’s been 30 years since Tomohiro Nishikado designed his game.

Yes, people still release 8-bit alien merchandise. Yes, some of it is really really cool, and this Space Invaders t-shirt rocks.

Your whole upper body turns into a tribute to one of the games of the 80s, complete with three-colored aliens. The cannon is different from the original one, which bugs me a bit since there was no reason to change it (well, except maybe copyright issues).

This aside, it’s definitely one of the best gaming t-shirts around right now.

Periodic Table of Texting t-shirt

Periodic Table of Texting t-shirtThe Periodic Table of Texting t-shirt is at the same time funny and scary.

Funny, because something serious like chemistry next to a time-wasting activity like texting is an amusing contrast.

Scary, because there are actually people who can read message written entirely of those abbreviations.

No one’s saying all abbreviations are bad; after all, there’s a character limit. But when the number of “NE1″ and “NISM” and “BFF” is bigger than the number of full words… seriously, there’s a problem there.

That aside, the t-shirt is very cute indeed, and hey, if you’re getting the joke it means you know what the Periodic Table is, which is a good sign.

Binary Love t-shirt

Binary Love t-shirtWhen is geeky too geeky? Well, the Binary Love t-shirt almost qualifies, but then the design is so cute you can’t help but want one.

See those 1s and 0s making the pretty heart shape? It’s not a random string. Each 8 digit series, once converted into digital and then ASCII, is a letter. So 01101100 01101111 01110110 01100101 spells “l o v e”. Ain’t that sweet?

And because love is universal, this t-shirt comes in both men’s and women’s style; loose or form-fitting, the message stays the same.

THIS is How the World Ends t-shirt

THIS is How the World Ends t-shirtWe’ve seen the Earth destroyed by asteroids. Plagues. Zombies. Aliens. AI. Nuclear war. But by Dracula riding a dinosaur with zombies roaming the streets while aliens invade? That’s a first, and that’s what makes the THIS is How the World Ends t-shirt special.

And, if you’ve read enough apocalyptic novels, you might have noticed something the designer has too: the most quoted line is “This is the way the world ends/Not with a bang but a whimper.” from T.S. Eliot’s The Hollow Men.

From a lover of post-apocalyptic fiction to a great designer: Kudos!

Love Fatigues

Love FatiguesCamouflage has stopped being an army-only thing ages ago. And now it stops being random blobs of color, with the Love Fatigues.

Look at the picture. It’s just a camo t-shirt, right? Wrong. If you look closer, you’ll see the pattern is not exactly random, rather it depicts bodies engaged in, ahem, tenderness. Now the name starts making sense.

The fatigues come in 6 types of t-shirts and lots of colors, from classic khaki to hot pink, and the design is subtle, so it won’t get noticed at first glance. This doesn’t mean it will never get seen, though, so don’t wear it around grandma.

Friday, I’m In Love! t-shirt

Friday, I'm In Love! t-shirtThe guy who designed this t-shirt is brilliant.

It’s so simple, yet no one else thought about it: take a famous and very cool song, illustrate the lyrics, print them on a t-shirt. Two easy and one difficult step later, you’ve got the Friday, I’m In Love! t-shirt which just forces you to play the Cure song. Really, I was on YouTube looking for it 10 seconds after figuring out what the t-shirt was about.

Sometimes a great idea is spoiled by a mediocre design, but this isn’t the case. The little brokenhearted man is adorable and the illustration style really effective, so I can see more than Cure fans rushing to get it.
