Robots Thong & Balconnete Set

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Robots Thong & Balconnete SetGeeky clothing is very easy to find. A quick google will result in dozens of websites offering the most varied t-shirts possible. But going beyond t-shirts is a bit more complicated, since the range of products gets narrower.

Despite this apparent issue, other pieces of interesting clothing surface from time to time. Take the Robots Thong and Robots Balconette set: robots, hearts and lightning bolts, geeky and girly at the same time, and definitely something else.

It might not tear the geek in your life from his computer screen, but since your underwear will feature something familiar to him it might attract his attention long enough to understand that real girl in front of him is better than some pixels.

Unless the pixels are the new Lara Croft.

Glow-In-The-Dark Skull Thong

Glow-In-The-Dark Skull ThongThis is exactly the type of silly “fashion” I love. Yes, it’s tacky as hell, but that makes it great!

The Glow-In-The-Dark Skull Thong features skulls on a dark background, and I can see myself being entertained for minutes at a time just looking at my glowing nether regions at night. They would also match my (sadly not glowing) skull socks perfectly. And, as a plus for the boyfriend, he would have a much easier time finding the interesting parts in the dark.

Heat Sensitive Daisy Knickers

Heat Sensitive Daisy KnickersThis is one of those WTF moments. Why would someone design this, why would someone else buy it?

Enter the Heat Sensitive Daisy Knickers. Underwear that changes color when put against your skin - or, more accurately, the daisy goes from pink to white. In case you think a color-changing daisy on you nether regions is not exciting enough, let me add that the underwear is Fairtrade labelled and printed with organic vegetable based inks. Not impressed? Nope, me either.

It’s color changing underwear. $30 color changing underwear. Really, WTF?

Boys are Stupid Cami / Panty Set

Boys are Stupid Cami / Panty SetBoys are stupid. Yes? No? Maybe? Shut up with that discriminating talk? That last one is a wee bit exaggerated, the “Boys are…” merchandise is just cute and I don’t see any subversive message. I think any woman with half a brain can think for herself and realize that the stupid thing are gross generalizations and believing that the message on her t-shirt is the absolute uncontested truth. I just think it’s cute and light fun. And no, I wouldn’t mind a similar t-shirt with a “Girls are…” theme. I can make fun of myself, thank you very much.

The Boys are Stupid Cami/Panty Set has the right amount of silliness to make a woman feel like a little girl again. Especially if you’ve been hearbroken, metaphorically throwing stones after “boys” can be a way to get over it sooner. You know, the old line, “he doesn’t know what he’s missing”, only the 5-year old version.

Just don’t buy this set for your pre-teen/teenager. I think it takes a mature(ish) woman to really get the humor.

iBoxers

iBoxersIt looks like everything is being designed to be iPod-friendly nowadays - even underwear! And, although under other circumstances I would say this is stupid, today… I kind of like it.

Like the name says, iBoxers are boxers… made for the iPod. Why do I like them? Well, two reasons: one personal (I like to listen to music all the time, so it’s extremely annoying when I’m cleaning the house and I have no pockets for my mp3 player), and the other not (they don’t look that underwear-ish so they can also be worn at a picnic or just as shorts around the house). They come in a very wide range of colors and models, so anyone could probably find a favorite.

I’m not sure how they are supposed to be worn, however. Putting pants over them would result in a weird bump on your hip or at least a cable appearing from the inside of your jeans, which isn’t something I’d like.
