Jt Baby USB Drive

Jt Baby USB DriveThe first thing I did with my latest USB stick was lose it. Well, I put it in “a safe place” - and promptly forgot where. An USB stick that looks good and can be attached to my keys or phone is therefore a very good idea. I’m sure there are lots that fit the description, but today we have the Jt Baby USB Drive.

This 2GB drive comes in black, green and purple, is about 31 x 12 x 2 mm and weighs only 2 grams. It’s a good thing it can be attached to a larger object, otherwise it would get lost in minutes. But it has a major downside: the back seems unprotected and, hmm, a bunch of keys banging on the connectors doesn’t seem like a smart thing to me.

Mr. Manufacturer, you got the general idea, but you screwed up at the end, I’m sorry.

P.S. If you’re still planning to get one, watch out for the 4GB version too (which was too pricey at $37 and didn’t fit the scope of this blog).

Flash Band USB

Flash Band USBDo you want your USB flash drive close to you at all times? Do you want to avoid searching in your bag? And, most of all, do you want to look absolutely stupid with a large orange wristband?

Well, with the Flash Band USB you can’t go wrong. It offers 4 GB of storage so it fits most of your needs. You can bet you’ll never lose it - however you might find it thrown away by a pissed off partner who’s sick of seeing the awful orange.

Flash Band USBNot much else to say. It might look good if it fits your style; if you’re an old school geek, checkered shirts and all, stay away unless you’re aiming to make a fool out of yourself.

Well, at least it’s cheap.

Donut USB Drive

namePeople never seem to tire of designing new USB devices. An USB stick is very useful, an increasing number of people own at least one, and I don’t see any problem with wanting to be a little different. As long as space is not an issue, why not buy something wacky?

No reason. Usually. The Donut USB Drive is probably a Homer Simpsons’ fan dream. And I have to admit it looks very realistic (at least in the photo), I’m starting to drool here. The problem, then?

It’s $29.99. On sale. The 1GB version. (The 2GB stick is $49.99 on sale.) I mean… come on, it’s an USB stick. Even if you put a donut on it, it’s still not worth 30 bucks. But, in case you’ve got too much money lying around, you can get this in the Strawberry, Green Tea or Chocolate flavors (not edible, unfortunately).
