USB Lock

USB LockWhat’s the easier way to ensure your USB drive isn’t accessed by anyone else but you: always carry it on your person or use a lock? I’d think slipping it in a pocket is very simple, but hey, who am I to say you shouldn’t try to lock it. And I don’t mean encryption…

The USB Lock is a physical barrier. It works like a bike or luggage lock: the user sets a 3-digit code, and the drive can’t be used until the right code is inputed. Of course, a determined person could just take the drive then try to force the lock or guess the 3 digits, but for nosy co-workers this would probably be taking it too far.

For the purpose of discouraging unwanted use, it looks great; for real security, consider data encryption. I wouldn’t trust my naughty pictures to this.
